In ancient Wales the heron, Creyer, was seen as the primal creator and giver of life. The Heron is a beautiful creature, exhibiting grace, and noble stature.
Heron is comfortable in spaces that are neither here, not there. It prefers hunting at twilight, a symbolic and magical time of ‘in-between’. I shall have one foot on land and one in water – this being recognized by ancient cultures as a sign of – crossing into the space neither here, not there.
A pair of herons, a couple, has build a nest on our property – watching, observing them come and go.

In Celtic symbols birds represent freedom. They can walk on Earth and swim in the ocean, they also have the ability to to soar the sky. Many cultures believe that birds are a symbol of eternal life.
A Hummingbird is a symbol of joy and happiness due to its appearance, a symbol of beauty, harmony and magical powers.
