Expressions of Nature in natural fibre are my work. Visual and tactile sensations are brought to life through silk, wool, hemp, and flax of rich and jewel-like tones, infused with honey and Earth. I find my muse in the colours and textures of my garden and orchard, the forest and ocean and the near by mountains surrounding me, as well as in my boundless excitement for life.
Most of my time is spent in growing and preserving organic food. As an herbalist, I have a deep interest in the medicinal use of herbs and plants which can be found in my garden and in the wild. As a bee keeper, an experience I share with my husband, I am given a view into another complex, amazing and essential past of the web of rhythms of Nature.
A fascination with arts, the lushness of materials, and most of all poetry and mysticism comes from a mix of my European heritage and study of Middle Eastern arts and cultures.
My work brings me fulfilment and harmony. It is an expression of my passion for life as well as the poetry found in daily living.
All my work is created at my home of 30 years: the Pacific coast of Canada, Cortes island, where I share my life with my incredible husband Jack, my daily inspiration and encouragement, as well as our beloved large furry friend Fisher, the  best dog ever.
